The S / 812 takes REL's midrange driver concept to a reference-like level and does so with style, beauty and devastating power. It offers good overall performance for music and movie sound, gives customers a taste of what our reference models offer, and at a fraction of the cost. 

For S / 812, every aspect of the previous generation's inner workings was examined without regard to critical and customer success. REL has paid renewed attention to the performance requirements, driver enhancements and special filters, updating each to achieve the additional performance. All this along with the chassis changes required to make these upgrades work cleanly. This latest S-Series is a triumphant development that has exceeded all expectations of our design team.

REL's requirements were far more powerful deep bass performance between 19 and 35 Hz, greatly improved theatrical dynamics, and an even more spacious and open soundfield that benefits both music and film. We turned to our NextGen5 amplifier, which is rated at 800 watts and has enormous power reserves beyond that, a lightweight carbon fiber film attached to the back of the driver to handle the extra power. Finally, we've equipped 812 with the ability to be stacked in line arrays of 4 or 6 units, just like our Reference Series models.
