THE CHALLENGE: No matter how perfect an AC power source is, distortion is added to every AC cable. Even the most advanced filters and power supplies cannot eliminate this transient intermodulation (TIM) distortion because the induced RF noise modulates the audio/video signal at a low level.
THE SOLUTION: NRG-Y3 cables use directional LGC (Long-Grain-Copper) strands in a semi-rigid concentric conductor arrangement where the strands are more tightly packed and never change their position within the bundle. This design significantly reduces strand interaction distortion. The greater purity and less complex grain structure in LGC copper further reduces distortion.
In addition, the NRG-Y3's directional silver-plated shielding conductors efficiently dissipate RF noise to ground via the third ground pin from the cable and neutral shields. The net result is powerful, dynamic and impressive!

ZERO TECH: NO CHARACTERISTIC IMPEDANCE
While many AC cables have a low DC resistance to meet the need for high current, the characteristic impedance of a cable is also critical for optimum performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress audio-induced transients, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero impedance (none) to provide uncompressed transients when needed.
SILVER-PLATED DRAIN WIRES
Directional silver-plated shielding conductors efficiently dissipate RF noise from the cable and neutral shields to ground via the third ground pin. The net result is powerful, dynamic and impressive.
SEMI-SOLID CONCENTRIC CONDUCTORS
