Musical Fidelity MX-DAC Digital Analog Converter
After years of patient research and development, we are proud to bring our MX-DAC with DSD to market. With its technical innovation, outstanding technical performance and outstanding workmanship, the new MX DAC offers a truly outstanding price/performance ratio. The MX-DAC does an excellent job. It has extremely low distortion, very wide bandwidth and low noise. The technical performance of the MX-DAC is comparable to any other DAC at any price. The jitter is about 12 pps, the S/N ratio is -116 dB (A-weighted), the linearity is +0.2 dB at -116 dB, the stereo distance is -104 dB at 1 kHz, the frequency response is flat and the distortion is 0.00025% at 1 kHz and 0.0003% at 20kHz. These state-of-the-art specifications show that our implementation is almost perfect to ensure completely neutral and accurate digital-to-analog conversion of all digital inputs. The MX-DAC has inputs for: 2 x coax (up to 24 bit 192 kHz PCM), 2 x optical (up to 24 bit 192 kHz PCM) and asynchronous USB up to 24 bit 192 kHz PCM as well as DSD 64 and DSD 128. In addition, all inputs, whether from coax, optical or USB, are processed in the DSD domain. This desirable function gives the sound a warmth and humanity that a simple digital conversion cannot achieve. The MX-DAC has both single-ended and balanced outputs. The new MX series has beautiful aesthetics and wonderful workmanship. The front panel and the housing are both made of exclusive special designs with mil-spec aluminium.
