The previous ARC functions of the HDMI hardware are maximum with lossy (compressed) 5.1-channel surround sound. All generations of AudioQuest HDMI cables "with Ethernet" not only support ARC, but to ensure superior audio performance, the ARC channel conductor pair is controlled internally to the direction and runs in the opposite direction as the 4 pairs that transmit information to the TV. The upcoming HDMI 2.1 hardware supports the Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which dramatically increases bandwidth and supports uncompressed and lossless high definition multi-channel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos as well as DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS: X. All AudioQuest HDMI cables " with Ethernet "have the conductors and bandwidth required for eARC's advanced sound features.

4K / 8K

AudioQuest 18 Gbit/s high-speed HDMI cables have the bandwidth required for video of up to 8 KB / 30 (8 bits, 4: 2: 0), which corresponds to a resolution of 7680 x 4320 (over 33 million pixels) at up to 30 frames per second (fps). 24 and 30 fps are the frame rates for almost all movies and many TV shows.

HDR

AudioQuest 18 Gbps high-speed HDMI cables support High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Dynamic HDR. HDR content enhances the contrast of the image blacks, highlights, and increases color saturation and brightness. Dynamic HDR (e.g. HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision) allows single frame HDR optimization instead of HDR settings that are fixed for the entire program.
