AudioQuest Niagara 7000

Low-Z Power | noise dissipation system

AudioQuest is proud to introduce our Niagara 7000 Low-Z Power Noise Dissipation System, a complete rethink of AC filtration developed by one of the leading experts in the field, Garth Powell. As with every AQ product before and more recently with our DragonFly USB DAC and NightHawk headphones, we would not have entered this field if we didn't believe we were offering something special and significant. We believe that with Niagara 7000 we have created a product that revolutionizes the art and science of AC power - a product that inspires audio/video enthusiasts and helps create a more intense and emotionally compelling experience.

In designing the Niagara 7000, we wanted to successfully address issues that prevent today's audio / video components from reaching their full potential. The proliferation of airborne and AC radio signals, combined with overtaxed power lines and the ever-increasing demands for high-definition audio/video components require a complete rethink of AC technology to deliver our A / V systems with the power needed to realize their potential.

In addition, today's power amplifiers are taxed for immediate peak current demand, even when operated at modest volumes. Although the dynamic range of much of our audio software has increased significantly, the speakers we use to reproduce it are often no more efficient than they were 50 years ago. This places high demands on the power supply to an amplifier and the AC power source that supplies it. In our efforts to adequately fulfill the promise of today's ever-increasing bandwidth and dynamic range, the Niagara 7000 offers extremely low system noise and superior power output over a very wide frequency range.

Through differential sample testing and spectrum analysis, it can be demonstrated that up to one-third of a high-resolution (low-level) audio signal can be lost, masked or severely distorted by the enormous noise levels along the AC power lines that feed our components. This noise couples with the signal circuitry as current noise and through AC ground and distorts and/or masks the source signal permanently. The sensitive components of our systems need a better alternating current.

We are aware that true audio / video optimization is never a matter of a secret or exotic circuit. When it comes to noise dissipation with alternating current, many approaches can lead to meaningful results. However, these approaches can also cause ringing, current compression and non-linear distortion, which can make the cure worse than the disease. While there are currently a number of AC conditioners, isolation transformers, regeneration amplifiers and battery backup system topologies, the Niagara 7000 takes a holistic, science-based approach to AC technology and provides a comprehensive solution to the ever-increasing noise that plagues our power lines.

The Niagara 7000 features optimized conduction direction for high-frequency power lines, Jet Propulsion Laboratories and NASA-developed technologies to form inlet capacitors, and AC inlet and outlet contacts with heavy silver plating over high-purity copper to ensure the tightest possible grip.

The Niagara 7000 uses our patented AC ground noise dissipation, the world's first dielectrically-biased AC isolation transformers and the industry's broadest bandwidth linear noise dissipation circuitry. Our unique passive/active transient power correction circuit features instantaneous current storage with a peak power of over 90 amps, specifically designed for today's power amplifiers. Most AC products with "high current sockets" only minimize current compression. The Niagara 7000 corrects it.

With an AudioQuest Niagara 7000, music lovers can finally experience the clarity, dimensionality, frequency expansion, dynamic contrast and grip that their A/V systems could deliver - if only the power was right!
