AudioQuest Golden Gate jack 3.5 mm jack 3.5 mm female
Where the San Francisco Peninsula reaches up from the south, Marin County stretches down from the north and the two almost touch each other, the meeting of land mass and ocean creates an almost magical atmosphere. Captain John C. Fremont named this place "Chrysopylae" in 1846, which means "golden gate". The Golden Gate Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world from 1937 to 1964, until it was surpassed by the Verrazano - Narrows Bridge in New York City by almost 18 meters. The longest span is 1,280 meters and the width of the bridge is 27 meters. The supports rise to 227 meters above the water level. MASSIVE PERFECT-SURFACE-COPPER-LEADER (PSC): Perfect-Surface copper has an amazingly smooth and pure surface. The company's proprietary metal processing technology protects the surface of the wire at every step of drawing and manufacturing. When high-purity, low-oxygen copper is made as soft, pure and smooth as possible, it becomes a wonderfully low-distortion conductor. For more than 30 years, AudioQuest has pioneered the use of high quality metals, but even we were surprised at the huge leap in performance. PSC outperforms metals previously used by AQ, costing more than ten times more. The mutual electrical and magnetic influence of the strands in conventional cable assemblies is the greatest source of interference and often causes an "impure", "rough" sound. Massive conductors are the fundamental basis for the pure sound of the Golden Gate. INSULATION FROM POLYETHYLENE FOAM: Any solid material adjacent to a conductor becomes part of an incomplete electrical network. Wire insulation and circuit board material absorb energy (losses). Part of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. In the Golden Gate, air-filled polyethylene foam insulation is used for both conductors because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile. Thanks to the air in the polyethylene foam, it causes significantly less blurring effects than other materials. METAL LAMINATION NOISE DISPIPATION SYSTEM (NDS): Achieving 100% shielding is easy. To prevent "trapped" RF interference from affecting the ground reference of the device, the AudioQuest Noise Dissipation System is required. It prevents most RF interference from reaching the ground plane of the device. DOUBLE-BALANCED ASYMMETRICAL GEOMETRY: Designed specifically for single-ended applications, Double-Balanced Asymmetrical Geometry provides less impedance to ground for a fuller, more dynamic sound. While many single-ended cables use a single path for both ground and shielding, double-balanced designs separate both for a cleaner, quieter performance. COLD-WELDED, GOLDED RCA CONNECTORS: This connector design allows for connections without solder - which is a common source of interference. Because the ferrules are stamped rather than machined, the metal can be selected for low distortion rather than machinability.
